INTERMEDIATE – Ready to Solo

This is a fun camp designed for students who want to continue with their sailing experience. This camp is for students who have extensive experience in Little Puffs and/or Beginners programs and have achieved ALL of the skills necessary to sail ‘single hand’ in an OPTI or HARTLEY. Students will review concepts of previous courses with an introduction to the Opti and using a tiller extension.

​Prerequisites 
  • Prior approval is required for children that have taken multiple Little Puffs and Beginner Camps.​
  • Confidence in handling a sailboat alone
  • Capable of determining wind direction
  • Successfully sail from Irons and on all points of sail
  • Ability to use tiller and mainsheet together
  • Able to dock safely


Students must bring and wear their own US Coast Guard approved life jackets.
